A new beginning

It’s been 526 days since I moved to Korea. It seems like both a lifetime and a moment ago. If I think back through all the trips taken, the nights out and the food eaten, it makes me a bit afraid that the best is behind me. Even with the terrible year-that-shall-not-be-named, I managed to have a pretty good experience. So now, at the start of the new year, with so many changes happening around me, I am starting to wonder what is in store for me. And whether I’ll be able to look back in another 365 days and remember these memories as fondly as I do the ones gone past.

I have decided to start documenting my stories once again. For two years I diligently uploaded an posted about my travel adventures until I forgot to pay one month’s subscription on another platform and thus lost all my hard work to the black hole that is permanent deletion. After that, my lust for writing took a nosedive. But every canyon has an oasis - this time I’ll remember to back up my stories somewhere where the Bermuda delete can’t get it.

So, here we go again. Follow along if like hearing about Bridget Jones-inspired travel mishaps, “profound pondering” about life as an expat and have a soft spot for the nostalgia of 35mm film photography.
