Ever since I found out that both my photographic idols Robert Capa and Vivian Mayer used Rollieflex cameras, I became obsessed with Twin Lens Reflex cameras. Recently I acquired not only a 1930s era Rollieflex Original Standard but also a 1950s Rolleicord III K3B. These are the first shots from my Rolleiflex that weren’t too blurry or burned (thanks to my inexperience with loading 120 film and shaky hands). A few overlapped but I think that’s mostly due to an 80 year old film advance system.

So, less coffee and a few “wasted” rolls later (it’s not a waste if you actually learn something), I think I finally have the handle on my Rolleiflex…now, having just sent yet more film to the lab, I just have to wait and see the results from my Rolleicord!

All shot on Ilford Delta 400.
